Algunos Tips para recién iniciados.
"The Message" de Grand Master Flash, Junto a "Rapper's Delight" de Sugarhill Gang y "The Breaks" De Kustis Blow (Estos últimos incluídos en Ultimate 1980) son los tres temas fundamentales del Rap.
"Genius Of Love" de Tom Tom Club fue sampleado infinitas veces, entre otras en el Nº1 "Fantasy" de Mariah Carey.
"MammaGamma" De Alan Parsons Project fue sampleado en el hit "Keep It Down" de Greenskeepers de 2005.
"Just An Illusion" de Imagination fue versionado por Deró en 2005.
"I Can't Go For That" de Daryl Hall & John Oates incluye uno de los grooves de bajos más destacados de la historia de la música y fue sampleado en numerosas ocasiones, una de las más recientes es en el hit "Sunrise" de Simply Red de 2003.
Otro tema sumamente influyente dentro de esta historia es "Forget Me Nots" de Patrice Rushen, sampleado por Will Smith en su hit "Men In Black" de 1997.
Liaisons Dangereuses nos entrega una de las pieza más influyentes del sonido de sintetizadores de la época: "Los Niños En El Parque" un tema que siempre vuelve...
Patrick Cowley y Bobby Orlando, este último sólo o con trabajos para artistas como Ronni Griffith, The Flirts o Divine entre otros (Editados aqui por el mítico sello Gapul) fueron 2 de los protagonistas más destacados del año, su sonido influyó enormemente a la dance music. Sin ellos, nada hubiera sido igual.
La música New Wave, poco a poco se iba metiendo en la pista de baile, algunos ejemplos de ellos son los hits de Human League y ABC que aparecen en este trabajo, o el cover de Nighthawk sobre uno de los temas de rock del año "Eye Of The Tiger".
"Passion" de The Flirts y "Native Love" de Divine fueron la base para el hit "Are You Satisfied" de Astroboys (2005)
"I'm So Hot For You" de Bobby Orlando fue la base sobre la que Junior Jack creó "Da Hype" en 2004.
"The Model" de Kraftwerk es un himno imprescindible en esta historia, tuvo infinitos remakes, en Argentina fue versionado en español por Clotta.
